I didn’t change much between the rough drawings and the final version of this drawing. But as you can see I do very light sketches and add more detail as I work out the compositions. My roughs can take from 10 mins to an hour to do.

You’ll notice in the second panel of this rough drawing I originally had the characters sitting getting mad at Captain Spectacular. It didn’t really make sense to me if they were going to be bears in the final panel.

I also didn’t want to have the other patients to transform out of the panel or in second panel. So I drew over the group with little green star bursts. I like how it finally turned out.
