Welcome Kade Owen to the world! I’ll post more details this weekend when I have a few moments (and announce the winner of “Win a Small Northern Town”). Till then enjoy these first few pictures of Kade.
The first video of baby Kade is here. My cousin Phil’s girlfriend Candra crocheted this beautiful blanky for Morgan and Kade. They LOVE it and of course as a dad, I had to video them playing with it.
Morgan has just started to give kisses or is he tasting Kade? He does try and eat anything in front of him. I guess we’ll never know. Enjoy there first video as brothers.
I’ve recieved a few emails asking where videos of Kade are. Being a Dad that can’t refuse a request to show off his sons here’s a video of Kade.
As a little guy my favorite toy was “Scottie Dog” (he’s the stuffed animal in the middle). My Aunt Lue made him for me and I just loved him. I’d walk around the house dragging him by his ears. He now looks more like a rabbit then a dog. The two of us were in a rock band together, we fought crime, dodged lava fields, and on one or two occasions we ended up on the moon with my brother. He fueled my imagination.
My Aunt has continued the tradition of making animals for her nephews. Morgan has “Dino-Gator” and Kade just received “Lion”,we haven’t named him yet…any ideas? I look forward to seeing my boys save the galaxy, sail the seven seas, and time travel with Dino-Gator and Lion. Thanks Aunt Lue!
Now that we have two kids, we do our best to keep our house clean. There is one little problem we have a little tornado that follows us destroying everything in it’s path. This tornado is call Morgan and he’s very good at making a mess.
Kade met his Gammy and Pop for the first time this weekend. Not only did he smile for the first time (and a second and third time) but he melted their hearts.
And as always Morgan was a little ham. Smiling and playing every chance he had.
Thanks Gammy and Pop for a great weekend. Of course the only video we could get of Kade smiling was when he stopped smiling…but hey he’s still being cute in this video.
Thing 1
Jodi will tell you that I have this thing about those families that dress alike at Disneyland…I can’t wait to join their club.
Thing 2
Showing off my family is one of my favorite things to do. I want everyone in my family to have matching outfits with “Team Wright” silk screened on the back of their t-shirts. After spending so much time in the hospital with Morgan and all the trouble my wife had with both her pregnancies, I think we desever to stand in a 1 hour line at Disneyland and scream “WE ARE TEAM WRIGHT AND WE ARE SPECTACULAR!”
I feel for my cats.
Now that Morgan’s walking there is no peace for them. They sneak around, hoping not to be seen. The only problem is Morgan has his mom’s super hearing. Just one squeak of the floor boards and Morgan’s on the move. Like a little Godzilla he chases after them.
The thing I can’t figure out is why the cats just don’t jump up to a higher elevation that Morgan can’t reach.
