Alone Time…CHOMP!

With the two boys being 13 months apart Jodi and I have to deal with back to back crawling, walking, teething, potty training and everything else that comes with being a parent (how do parents with twins do it?) What I do know is that when Jodi and I have a chance…we pass out.

Boy Versus Shark

When Jodi and I took the boys to visit their grandparents in Monterey we found Kadehad a fascination with sharks. While showing him a hammerhead shark my head started to spin. The way Kade was talking and laughing, it was almost like he was communicating with the shark. It was that thinking that lead me to do this picture when I got back from my vacation.

Character Design Interview

I had the great pleasure of being interviewed by Randall from the Character Design Website . It was done a few months ago so there are some out of date points.

As most of you know I’ve left DreamWorks after working there 15 years to spend more time with my family and to start seriously working on my webcomic business. I’ll also be teaching full time at CalArts starting…today!

The Character Design website is awesome, head over and check out the interview.

A Ball with Cthulhu (the sea monster)

Thanks for all the sea monster recommendation. In the end (even though I can’t pronounce it) I chose Cthulhu.

I’m happy with how this turned out. It has a nice little story to it. Though I can’t decide if they’re playing catch or piggy-in-the-middle. What do you think?

Glacier Engagement

Friends of Jodi and I recently were engaged on a glacier in New Zealand. What a pretty cool place to pop the question eh? Good job, Nick!

They asked if I’d do a drawing of their life together. As they described what they wanted I quickly I knew it was something I was interested in doing. I hope they like the results as much as I do.

Todays Winner is Announced

Hope everyone is having a great day. I forgot that Morgan and Kade had a play date today so this videos a little later then normal. But here it is…

Win an Orginal Scott Wright Watercolour

This week I’m opening my weekly giveaway to everyone on my blog as well as Facebook. All you have to do is leave a comment below and you are automatically added to the list. My son Kade will pick a name randomly out of a hat on Thursday. Good luck to everyone!

Dots to a Sabertooth Rabbit

There was such a great response to last weeks activity drawing I thought I’d do another. With all the teething going on in my house it seemed only right to show my youngest turning into his monstrous alter-ego.

Contest Winner Picked

Morgan picked this weeks winner.

18 Hidden Spectacular Pictures

With my kids new found love of activity books, I thought it would be fun to draw my own hidden drawing page. Can you find all the objects? Are you able to find Captain Spectacular, SideKick Boy and the kids?
