After hearing Morgan cry and seeing him fly across the room to the neonatal team I sat in a chair next to Jodi wondering what was going to happen next. Would I get to see him before he left the room? Would Jodi get to see him? Was Jodi okay from the surgery? Is Morgan going to be okay? Time seemed to slow to a stop. Then a nurse from neonatal came over asked if “Dad” wanted to see his son. He was so small and cute. It would be about 14 hours before Jodi got to see him.
Today Morgan is 4 months old and yes he’s still in the hospital. He’s now 6lbs 12oz and growing like crazy. He’s doing great, he just needs to keep working on his stamina during feeding. We hope he’ll be home before he’s 5 months old, Go Morgan Go!
Also today I added a little more to my Help! drawing. I’ll be adding a few of Krista’s suggestion for tomorrow post
Steve Gordon and Steve Cunningham share an office at DreamWorks. For the past month I’ve been drawing a picture on their white board.
Everyday they give me a suggestion and I add to the drawing. I thought it might be fun to try to do the same thing on my blog.
So here’s the deal everyday till next Wednesday I’ll take one suggestion and add to this drawing. After the weeks done whoever I feel had the best suggestion will get a signed copy of the picture.
Who wants to play? I’ve started off with a plane. What is the next thing I should draw on this page?
Every night at 8:30 I have the great pleasure of feeding Morgan. Here is a clip from last night that I want to share with all my friends and family. If you listen closely you can hear his funny noises.
What makes this a weird day? Today is his orginal due date. We still have no idea when he’ll be coming home with us. But till that day, Jodi and I will be heading to the hospital every chance we have.
As a bonus I thought everyone might like to see Morgan reacting to a little present Jodi gave him yesterday. Thanks to all the nurses for letting us put it up in his hospital crib.
I had a few minutes last week and did this drawing. My favorite part, besides the flying pig (who doesn’t love flying pigs?) is the mountains in the back. They just turned out how I pictured them in my head.
