Father’s Guilt over Son

Having a healthy son and a sick son can bring up strange emotions.

While Morgan was in the hospital I would take care of Kade at home. Kade wanted me to play with him like I normally would. I tried hard to give him all the attention that he deserved but in the back of my mind I was alway thinking of how his older brother was suffering. I still to this day feel guilty about it.

Contest Winner Announced

This weeks winner is…

Geek Dad and Soliloquy in Blue

If you’re a dad and you haven’t ever been to GeekDad you’re missing out. What you learn on this site will make you the coolest dad on the block. On top of that…they just wrote a brilliant article about Team Spectacular.

In Team Spectacular: Micro-Preemie Power book news, it just got a B+ from the website Soliloquy in Blue. I’m so happy to hear people talking in a positive way about my work. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

With all this great news and press I thought it would be a great day to hold a contest. Head over to my Facebook Fan Page and select “like” and you’ll be automatically entered to win this orginal watercolor done by me. I’ll announce the winner tomorrow morning.

Good luck to everyone!

Nite, Nite Comic-Con 2010

Another year at the San Diego Comic-Con is over. I’m sad to see it end but happy to get a few hours of sleep. It was great meeting all my fans and hearing all your glowing reviews. To all my new fans a great big hug and thanks for dropping by and giving me and my comics a chance.

I won’t be posting a new comic this weekbut to make up for it, I do have a little/big surprise I’ll be announce in a few days.

Till then nite, nite.

Comic-Con 2010

It’s that time again. The San Diego Comic-Con has begun and I can’t express how excited I am to be exhibiting again.

I’m debuting my newest book “Team Spectacular- Changed World”. You can find it and me at booth E-04. I’m doing drawings and will be signing books all week.

Also keep an eye out for my updates on Facebook and Twitter for behind the scene photos and other fun surprises.

If you are in the area drop by say hi, I’d love to meet you.

Peeking Watercolour

I get a lot of requests for tutorial on my colour process in Corel Painter. This week I thought I’d let you get a little peek at how I do a traditional watercolour painting.

This piece took me just under an hour (before I speed up the video) but without the use of a hair dryer you can add another 20 mins.

Enjoy!

Nice Surprise Waiting at my Door

I just recieved my first shipment of the new Team Spectacular Book: Changed World. Those heading to the San Diego ComicCon will be able to purchase them at booth C06 on July 22-25th. For everyone not able to attend the event I’ll start selling them in my online store August 1.

We Have a Winner

Kade drew a winner for last weeks giveaway.

1 Minute 52 Seconds- Inking a Webcomic Hero

Thought everyone might like to see a quick video of me inking a future Team Spectacular comic. Enjoy

Cargo Pants and a T-shirt

It’s bothered me for awhile that SideKick Boy’s uniform was pretty much cargo pants and a t-shirt. I thought I might change him up a bit. Do any of these interest you? Is there a different combination you’d like to see? I have my favorite do you?

Also don’t forget about this weeks contest. I’m almost up to 300 fans on Facebook. As soon as I get there, I’ll draw a name from the list of  ”likes” from the contest post. Follow this link to the Team Spectacular Fan page and refer a friend (or one hundred :) )

Spectacular Contest Winner!

A little later then I had hoped to post but her it is the winner of this weeks Team Spectacular Contest….

Sorry about the resolution…I think Morgan and Kade have been using the camera as a battering ram :)
