I would never say I do as much as Jodi. In fact I’m sure I hinder the well oiled machine she’s created at home. Running around taking care of the kids, the house, she’s always sacrificing for the family.
I know she loves when I finally get home at night. It’s her time to take a little break. Though if you ask me, it’s not much of a break at all. She takes those few hours to do dishes, tidy up, organize and run around preparing for what tomorrow will bring.
Jodi will tell you that I have this thing about those families that dress alike at Disneyland…I can’t wait to join their club.
Thing 2
Showing off my family is one of my favorite things to do. I want everyone in my family to have matching outfits with “Team Wright” silk screened on the back of their t-shirts. After spending so much time in the hospital with Morgan and all the trouble my wife had with both her pregnancies, I think we desever to stand in a 1 hour line at Disneyland and scream “WE ARE TEAM WRIGHT AND WE ARE SPECTACULAR!”
Morgan’s been on a mission the last few days. He thinks there’s something living in the TV cabinet. Everyday he goes in and tries to find it. He pulls everything out, looking, waiting, preparing for what could be behind the DVD’s. He’s yet to find anything, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.
Now that Morgan is walking, his oxygen cord has been Jodi’s worst nightmare. He’ll be running through the house and it’ll get snagged on something and BANG! His feet keep going but his poor little head flies back and lands on the floor.
I have no idea how he does it but at least 7 times a day we’ll find a big knot in the cord, or we’ll find him sitting in the middle of it whipping the cord at one of our three cats.
Yet through all this he’s smiling away having no idea what it’s like not to be attached to a oxygen converter or tank.
I’m into humor and making people laugh. When I was given the challenge by the guys over at Deviant Art to do a new “battle” page I knew I had to find some sort of comedy ellement. Well there’s a banana character…what’s could be funnier than a banana man loosing his bannana peel?
Steve Lecouilliard writes one of my favorite comics, Much the Miller’s Son. Everyone should check it out. His writing is clever and funny. His drawings and visual story telling is just spectacular.
He just came out with his second book, which I might add is beautiful to look at (I got my copy yesterday). On top of all that I have a pin up in the book…what other reasons do you need to go buy a copy today?
Kade met his Gammy and Pop for the first time this weekend. Not only did he smile for the first time (and a second and third time) but he melted their hearts.
And as always Morgan was a little ham. Smiling and playing every chance he had.
Thanks Gammy and Pop for a great weekend. Of course the only video we could get of Kade smiling was when he stopped smiling…but hey he’s still being cute in this video.
Morgan has been walking for a few weeks. I’ve been trying to get good video of him. But he seems to be part Sasquatch. He’ll be walking around, talking away, being adorable. As soon as I grab the video camera he decides he’s done with walking, vanishing like the elusive Sasquatch.
Now that we have two kids, we do our best to keep our house clean. There is one little problem we have a little tornado that follows us destroying everything in it’s path. This tornado is call Morgan and he’s very good at making a mess.
