It is true when my car got fixed, and I drove off from where my car broke down. I found the gas station was only over the ridge…less than 1/2 a mile away.

You’ve probably noticed that Team Spectacular has been down for the past two months. Well we’re back and I have a lot of paintings and drawings to share. I thought it would be fun to start out with a piece of animation I did just as I was leaving CalArts for SCAD.

Here is a piece of animation I did as a going away present for my third year class at CalArts.
I’m still having some FTP site problems but it should be up soon. Till then I’ll post this weeks comic here in my blog area.
After sitting in my car for hours waiting for AAA’s truck to show I decided to leave the car and cats and find some help. I hiked a mile up a giant mountain in the Texas heat to turn around and see the tow truck pulling up to my car…just my luck.
Just when you think every things going to work out fine, life loves to throw a curve ball at you.
In this case, when I finally got a hold of AAA I expected to be ‘saved’ and on my way East within an hour.
That didn’t happen. I sat in the blazing hot Texas sun with my cats painfully meowing. With the cats in the car I wouldn’t be able to leave without the windows being rolled down. Along with my computers and other important valuables I couldn’t get help.
My wait for the tow truck lasted for nearly 3 hours…or was it 5…I can’t remember…I lost a few braincell from the heat that day. Never the less I sat and waited for AAA till I couldn’t stand it any longer.
Here’s a little piece of animation I did for one of the classes I taught at CalArts. I used TV Paint which is just an outstanding piece of animation software!
